Veedon Fleece at 100% Design 2008

Veedon Fleece’s 2008/9 collection of new designs are currently being woven.

The designs to be exhibited for the first time at 100% Design this year will be:

These are carpets woven to the design of Irina Silva, a sensual artist who lives and works in Los Angeles and Sardinia. Her generous palate of colours and carefully placed random canvasses transfer well into our medium and radiate the warmth and generosity of her surroundings.

A well balanced design by Nelly Zafirov, being useful of square format and woven in colours to complement a sophisticated contemporary interiors.

RANDOM LINE LINE

In shades of mushroom and taupe, this silk rug demonstrates subtle quality of both design and the luxurious silk used in its creation.

Photographs of the carpets in the weaving process are available and we can supply images of original artwork in some cases.

We do not expect to have full professional photographs of the entire collection until August, which we appreciate may be too late for pre show press publications. This is due to the company’s success in having a full order book and putting commission work ahead of our own designs.

It is important to understand that Veedon Fleece is a custom weaving house which produces couture or bespoke commissioned designs for interiors worldwide.

Seldom are two of any design produced, although in some cases skilful re-rendering of our archive collection is a great aid to the interior designers and architects who commission our work.

Veedon Fleece produce extremely high quality, hand knotted carpets to commission in many different sizes, colours and designs; skilfully weaving in muga, pashmina, silk, the opulent veedon and best Tibetan wool.
