Veedon
Fleece are the leading quality manufacturers of hand made custom
designed carpets and rugs using pashmina, silk and best Tibetan
wool from the Kingdom of Nepal.
They create carpets of any size up to a massive 80ft by 26ft (24m
by 8m). All Veedon Fleece carpets are custom made to design
specification
for architects, interior designers and private clients around the
world.
Currently celebrating their second decade since the formation of
their looms, with the aim to create the best possible quality
without
the use of child labour, Veedon Fleece are renowned for their
tight
quality control, concentration on client specific design
requirements
and ability to deliver on time. Their headquarters in the UK
speaks
one or two times a day with their own factory/workshops in Nepal
allowing them flexibility and control second to none.Veedon
Fleece
creates its own classical and contemporary design collections
each
year.
The classical collection is taken from their immense reference
library
and from carpets within their own family collection. The
contemporary
collection, now one of the most successful and widely followed
sectors
of the business has historically drawn upon inspiration from
nature
and natural forms.
Colour is all important, hence, hand carded pure Tibetan wool,
discarding
in the process up to 40%, thus leaving only the finest wool which
will absorb the purest colour to be used in their production.
Veedon
Fleece is, to our knowledge, the only company to have
successfully
reintroduced pashmina into carpet production. Likewise we have
sourced
an incredible silk allowing us to comfortably progress further
forward
with this medium.
